In conjunction with PokerAffiliate.com, RevenueGiants.com ran a warm up drinks party this year. We had a bigger than anticipated turn out and it was great to chat with everyone who attended. For those of you who couldn't make it you missed out on loads of drinks, sushi and the opportunity to interact with your peers. I suggest attending this event over all others next year if you can possibly make it.

Round Table Discussion

I had the privilege of being on the round table discussion that covered affiliate marketing trends. We covered topics including offline marketing, e-mail marketing and relationship marketing.

The general consensus from affiliates in attendance was that search engine optimization was the main stay to their operations. The panel raised the point that there are many affiliates who successfully market via e-mail only and that by building good quality lists over time greatly increases an affiliates ongoing revenue.

The panel had seen this successfully implemented via opt-in forms, forum membership and free report signups which are still considered acceptable by most search engines if set up correctly.

As far as offline marketing was concerned there seemed to be only a very few areas available with no concrete results that would make affiliates want to dive head first into this type of marketing.
